OMAHA, Neb. – The Omaha men's golf team opens 2021 fall action at the Wildcat Invitational hosted by K-State. The first and second rounds will start Monday, Sept. 13 at 8 a.m. in a shotgun start. Round three will wrap up on Tuesday, Sept. 14.

Thirteen teams will participate in the opening invitational with 75 players. The field includes Bradley, Creighton, Drake, Kansas City, Missouri State, North Dakota State, Omaha, Oral Roberts, Sam Houston State, South Dakota, Southern Illinois, and Wichita State.

The Mavericks return all but one member of last season's squad and are led on the course by Josh Peters, Mathew Halvorson, and Josh Bartels. All three posted one top-10 finish on the year.

Peters averaged a team-best 76.0 stroke average last year. Halvorson and Bartles were right behind with 76.2 and 76.4 stroke averages, respectively.

The Mavericks added freshman Christopher Atkinson and Kurtis Rodriguez in the off-season. They look to make their debut this fall on the course.
