Jul 27, 2022 | Men's Basketball
OMAHA, Neb. - Keenan Holdman joins the Omaha men's basketball staff as the assistant director of player personnel. Holdman will assist with day-to-day operations as well as create and implement team and individual programing to ensure student-athlete success, including academic and personal development plans.
"Keenan brings a youthful energy and knowledge to our program," said head men's basketball coach Chris Crutchfield. "As we move into a new time in college basketball, player personnel becomes a major focal point. We want to be on the cutting edge of our student-athlete experience. Keenan will help us in that area and much more."
Holdman will also assist with official recruiting visits and serve as the practice coordinator. He will oversee student managers, equipment, game film, and opponent scouting reports.
"I'm excited to join coach Crutchfield in Omaha," said Holdman. "My family and I are feeling humbled and blessed for this opportunity at UNO. He's put together an awesome staff already that I look forward to learning greatly from. I've known coach Crutchfield since he was at Oral Roberts, and I believe he is one of the best in our game. I'm looking forward to working alongside him and the staff in Omaha. Go Mavericks!"
Prior to Omaha, Holdman served as a graduate assistant with the Nebraska men's basketball program. He assisted the staff with individual player workouts, pre-game and on-court workouts, recruit visits, scouting reports, and film breakdowns.
Holdman also assisted with player skill development and coordinating practices with the Phil Beckner Skills Training, Southern Mississippi basketball, Hardin-Simmons men's basketball, the Fred Hoiberg Basketball camps, and S&P Skill Training program.
In December 2020, Holdman graduated with his bachelor of science degree in human sciences from Hardin-Simmons.
