Women's Tennis Heads to Missouri to Take on Tigers

The Omaha Women's Tennis team gets their first taste of duels play tomorrow when they head to the University of Missouri to battle the Tigers. Matches will begin at 9 a.m. and 1 p.m.
"I am excited to go to Missouri and play some actual team duals. This is different from what we have done the last two weeks, which was more individual," Omaha head coach Adam Summitt said. "Now you are playing for more than yourself, you're playing for your teammates and the university. We know Missouri is a great team and we are looking forward to the competitive weekend and see where we are at early in the season."
From the very first practice of the year, Omaha has been building and improving on their individual game and team game very well. The matches tomorrow will provide the Mavericks a great opportunity to experience duel play for the first time this season and deploy what they have practiced all season.
"Throughout the season we have just developed more rhythm and feel. I have also seen our players get in better shape over the conditioning we have done," Summitt said. "We have played a lot of doubles in practice and trying to find the right combinations. You see players click together and really play well. The next step for us is making sure those combinations can develop and communicate to work together"
