The Islanders fell two games below .500 on Wednesday when they were narrowly beaten 76-74 by UTRGV. Back on November 16, they lost to Omaha's previous opponent Texas Tech 73-64.
Corpus Christi's leading scorers are junior guard Dian Wright-Forde (99 points, 12.4 ppg) and graduate student guard Lance-Amir Paul (90 points, 11.3 ppg). The former currently owns a 48.7 FG% with a team-high 38 FGM, while the latter is the team's top threat from the free throw line with an 82.0 FT% and 41 FTM.
