Spring Game Saturday at 1
The Mavericks will stage their annual Red-White Spring Game Saturday at 1 p.m. at Caniglia Field. The event is open to the public with no admission charge.
While the Mavs won't officially end their spring practice sessions, it will be a chance to gauge the progress this year's spring squad has made since drills opened March 25.
The teams will be divided by offense and defense and the game will take on more of a controlle scrimmage appearance. The new play clock rules will also be in effect for the first time. The new rules mirror those used by the National Football League. The play clock will be set to the usual 25 seconds in many cases, but for a dead ball in-bounds and out of bounds and an incomplete pass, it will be set at 40 seconds.
Game Times Set for 2008
The Mavericks have announced all kickoff times for the 2008 season. UNO will play its first three home games at 6 p.m. and its final two home games at 1 p.m. The full schedule with game times:
