Men’s Soccer falls to No. 12 UCLA, 2-1

LOS ANGELES – Omaha Men's Soccer fell to No. 12 UCLA, 2-1, late Sunday night in its first loss of the 2026 season.
The Mavericks (2-1-2) and Bruins (3-0-2) were delayed by an hour and a half due to field conditions at Wallis Annenberg Stadium.
Junior forward Mikey Stukenholtz (Gretna, Neb.) was the sole goalscorer for the Mavs. In the 44th minute, senior midfielder Ian Silva (St. Cloud, Fla.) set up Stukenholtz for his second goal of the season.
Senior goalkeeper Kamy Ndione (Osaka, Japan) played the full 90 minutes for Omaha and finished the match with one save to bring his season total up to 10.
The Mavericks recorded a total of four shots to UCLA's 12.
Omaha will be back at Caniglia Field at 7 p.m. CT on Thursday, Sept. 10 to play Yale and at 1 p.m. CT on Sunday, Sept. 13 to play Saint Mary's.
On Thursday, Omaha will be handing out 250 "Go Mavs" hats. Sunday's game will be the 2026 World Pup.
