No. 17 Augustana Sweeps Mavericks

Sioux Falls, S.D. -- Plagued by 19 hitting errors and eight service errors, the University of Nebraska at Omaha lost 3-0 (30-19, 30-18, 30-25) at 17th-ranked Augustana Saturday night in North Central Conference volleyball action before 353 fans at the Elmen Center in Sioux Falls.
Junior outside hitter Jenny Rankin was the lone Maverick to register double-figure kills with 11. Junior outside hitter Amy McLeay recorded eight kills and a team-high 17 digs, while sophomore libero Chelsea Miller tallied 15 digs in the loss.
Augustana outhit the Mavericks .308 to .134 and outdug UNO 65 to 52.
The Mavericks, who fell to 10-15 overall and 1-8 in NCC, will return to the Sapp Fieldhouse next weekend for their final home matches of the 2003 season when they take on North Dakota on Friday, Oct. 31 at 7 p.m. and 12th-ranked North Dakota State on Saturday, Nov. 1.
