Mavericks Travel North for Regular Season Finale

OMAHA, Neb.-- While the other North Central Conference opponents battle for a trip to the semifinals in Omaha, No. 22 UNO will travel to Brookings, S.D., for its final regular season game of the year versus Division I South Dakota State Sunday October 31, kickoff set for 1 p.m. This past weekend UNO fell to 14-3-1, with a 2-1 loss to North Dakota. The loss ended the Mavs' 13-game unbeaten streak.
Odds 'N' Ends
The Mavs hold a 3-0-1 lifetime record versus the Jackrabbits after last year's scoreless tie. This season marks the first time SDSU wll play UNO as a Division I team, as they moved to their current capacity following last season.
Mavs Fall to #22
After being upset by North Dakota last Saturday, UNO fell to the No. 22 spot in the NSCAA/adidas national ranking. Four teams the Mavs have played this year are ranked. Metro State and Truman State, are No. 2 and No.3 respectively. Regis, a team the Mavs defeated early in the season, holds the No. 9 spot. Southwest Baptist is listed at the No. 13 position, moving from 19 last week.
Mavs Honored
Following votes from conference sports information directors, four Maverick players were selected to the NCC All-Academic team. Of the eight making repeat appearances on the team, three are from UNO. Juniors Meghan Pile and Amy Price were repeat selections, as well as senior Rachel Tushner. Senior Brytten Kraft was a first-time selection. Minnesota State and Minnesota Duluth led the way with five student-athletes each on the squad.
