
Three Mavericks Earn All-Conference Honors

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Three University of Nebraska at Omaha soccer players have been named to the MIAA all-conference team announced Wednesday. Senior #Casey Bigsby tabbed first-team honors while junior Megan Jensen and freshman Hayley Renshaw# earned second team accolades.
Bigsby was UNO's most consistent offensive threat, leading the team with six goals and 16 points. The Central High School graduate also added four assists. Bigsby earned first-team all-North Central Conference last season and second-team honors as a sophomore in 2006.
Jensen, a transfer from Kansas, started all 18 games in the Maverick backfield and helped UNO record 11 shutouts this season. Renshaw started every game as a college rookie and has provided steady contribution in the midfield.
Earning honorable mention was junior defender #Jessica Powers# who was a key contributor to the Maverick defense.
The Mavericks will be in action tomorrow at 1 p.m. when take on Texas A&M Commerce in Warrensburg, Mo. in the first round of the NCAA Division II South Central Regional tournament. A victory would put them against host Central Missouri on Sunday, Nov. 16 at 1 p.m.
