SARTELL, Minn. – The Mavericks turned in a solid performance on the opening day of the North Central Conference Tournament, advancing two players into Sunday's singles finals. Rachel Faulk and Kylie Roe, both runners-up a year ago, will play in the No. 1 and No. 3 singles finals, respectively.

Roe posted a pair of convincing wins to move into Sunday's No. 3 finals, defeating both Steph Keller of Minnesota Duluth and Lindsey Whiting of North Dakota in straight sets.
Sara Bredfeldt will be playing for fifth place at No. 5 singles tomorrow, as will Kelsey Haas and Katie Spahn at No. 4 and No. 2 singles.
UNO will be looking to capture its fourth consecutive team title when day two of the tournament begins Sunday at 8:30 a.m.
