Rain Washes Out Tennis Duals

The Maverick men's and women's tennis duals scheduled for this afternoon against Sioux Falls have been cancelled due to rain. With just one full week remaining before the MIAA postseason tournaments begin, the duals will not be rescheduled.
The teams were to play at Koch Tennis Center, an outdoor facility. Scheduling conflicts kept UNO from playing the duals at Hanscom Park Tennis Center, the Mavs' indoor facility.
The Mavericks will return to action Saturday when they host Truman at 9 a.m. at Koch Tennis Center. The regular season wraps up Tuesday at home against Northwest Missouri and then the MIAA tournaments are April 24 and 25 in Kansas City, Mo.
The Maverick women are 7-5 overall and fourth in the MIAA at 3-2. The men are 6-6 overall and 1-2 in the league, also placing fourth. All MIAA teams will participate in the double elimination postseason tournament.
