OMAHA, Neb. - UNO lost their second straight conference match as they were barely beaten by Truman State on Saturday morning 5-4. The loss drops the Mavs to 7-5 overall and 3-3 in the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletic Association.
UNO won the doubles competition as they rebounded from a loss in No. 1 doubles, where #Kelsey Haas and Traci Moklestad# were beaten, 8-4. #Samantha Thomas and Heather Hottman# bounced back with a victory in No. 2 doubles, 8-2. #Kelsie Olson and Mary Lausten# then completed the second doubles win in three matches as they won in No. 3 doubles, 8-6.
Singles play was a different story as UNO did not pick up a win until #Kelsey Haas# defeated Lauren Higgins of TSU, 6-3, 6-3. #Mary Lausten# ended the match on a good note as she was won comfortably in No. 6 singles, 6-1, 6-0.
The UNO Mavericks return to tennis action on Tuesday. The matchup against Northwest Missouri is slated to start at 4:30 p.m.
