Mavericks Host Spring Volleyball Tournament

OMAHA, Neb. – The UNO volleyball team will host a five-team spring tournament on Saturday, April 16, Head Coach Rose Shires has announced. Missouri Western, Northwest Missouri State, Bellevue University and Doane College are all scheduled to participate in the day-long tournament at Sapp Fieldhouse in a showcase of local Midwestern talent.
"We are looking forward to competing again some of the best local college talent," Shires said. "The UNO volleyball players have been working very hard this spring to develop new offensive and defensive abilities, and the experience will be very positive."
UNO SPRING TOURNAMENT SCHEDULE
Schedule Notes: Between the third and fourth matches, there will be an additional 15-minute break for teams that will play four consecutive matches. Full-court warmups will last 10 minutes, with five minutes allotted per team. All matches will be 45 minutes, and all games will start at the same time. The first two games will be played to 25 points, and the third game will go to 15 points or until time is expired.
