LACEY, Wash. - The UNO Maverick women's soccer team tied Saint Martin's on Thursday, 1-1.
The Mavs (2-1-2) are unbeaten in their last four games, posting two wins and two ties since their season-opening loss at Green Bay. But UNO couldn't capitalize on some close scoring chances in overtime to secure the win.
Amber Bilodeau got the Mavs on the board nine minutes into the game for Nebraska Omaha, knocking in a loose ball off of a corner kick.
But Hanna Massee scored a late equalizer with less than three minutes remaining for the Saints to send the match into overtime. The extra time proved unable to produce a winner.
UNO stays on the West Coast over the weekend to face Seattle Pacific on Saturday at 9 p.m. (CT). UNO last met Seattle Pacific (1-1) in the 2005 Division II National Championship match, which UNO won 2-1.
