EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. – The Omaha men's tennis team begins the fall season this weekend at the SIUE Fall Invitational, running Friday through Sunday.
The three-day tournament will feature a flighted round-robin format and will be held at the SIUE Tennis Courts, as well as at Edwardsville High School.
Friday will feature the first two rounds of singles play, along with the first round of doubles play.
Saturday will be the busiest day of action, with the third and fourth rounds of singles play starting at 8 a.m. as well as the final two rounds of doubles play beginning at 5 p.m. The tournament will finish up Sunday with the fifth and final round of singles action beginning at 8 a.m.
Competing in the tournament along with Omaha are Kansas City, Saint Louis, SIU Edwardsville and Southern Indiana. Check SIUECougars.com at the end of each day for complete results.
The Mavericks' roster features 12 players in 2012-13, including senior Matt Frost and junior Eric McKnight, who redshirted in 2011-12.
