Mavs Picked Sixth in Summit League

OMAHA, Neb. - The Omaha men's tennis team has been picked to finish sixth in its first year of Summit League competition, the conference office announced on Friday. The poll was determined by a vote of the league's head coaches.
Kansas City was picked to win the conference after receiving four first-place votes for a total of 24 points. The Kangaroos have won two consecutive Summit League Tournament Championships and return three all-league performers from last year. IUPUI, which received the only other first-place vote, finished second with 21 points. Fort Wayne (16) and Western Illinois (12) finished third and fourth, while South Dakota State (11) and Omaha (5) rounded out the poll.
The Mavericks begin the season on January 20 at Hanscom Brandeis Tennis Center against Arkansas at 11 a.m.
