McCormick Named to Academic All-District Team

OMAHA, Neb. - Senior forward Melanie McCormick has been voted to the CoSIDA Academic All-District 7 Team.
McCormick carries a 4.0 GPA majoring in biology with a minor in chemistry. This season, she leads the Mavericks with four goals and is the team's co-leader with nine points. Last year, she was an Academic All-Summit League selection.
McCormick was one of 11 players selected from the states of Colorado, Idaho, Kansas, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas and Wyoming. She was the only player from a Nebraska school to be recognized.
The full list of teams can be found here. She will now move on to the ballot for Capital One Academic All-America honors.
McCormick and the other five Maverick seniors will be honored on Senior Night before Friday's 7 p.m. game against IUPUI at Caniglia Field.
