Omaha Men's Soccer Steps out of Conference

The Omaha men's soccer team steps out of conference play on Tuesday, October 28 to play Drake University at 7:00 p.m. in Omaha, Neb.
The Teams
Omaha (6-4-2, 2-1-1 Summit League) are coming off of a 2-0 week. On Monday, Omaha defeated Bradley 1-0 in double overtime. The Mavs followed up the win by defeating Denver 3-1 in Omaha on Saturday evening.
Drake University (3-9-3 overall, 1-3 Missouri Valley) lost at 4-1 decision to Evansville in Des Moines over the weekend.
Scouting the Mavericks
Omaha is currently tied with Denver for second place in the Summit League. The Mavericks have an outside chance of winning the conference depending on results over the next two weeks. Omaha is 2-1-1 over their last four games and have won two straight games. UNO is 2-2-1 on the road and 0-0-1 at neutral sites. Omaha is 4-2 within the friendly confines of Caniglia Field.
Mark Moulton has taken over the team lead in points. Moulton has three goals and seven assists for a total of 13 points on the season. Vance Rookwood has five goals and an assist for 11 points. Nick Miller has scored three goals and has an assist for seven points. Emir Alihodzic, Christian Garcia, Jordan Gealy, and Felipe da Silva each have one goal. Gealy scored his first collegiate goal against Denver. Logan Mendez has one goal and three assists for five points.
Josh Christensen and Joseph Ghitis have split time in goal this season for Omaha. Christensen has started five games and has a 3-1-1 record. Christensen has a .850 save percentage with 17 saves. He has allowed three goals and has a 0.55 goals against average. Ghitis has started seven games this year and owns a 3-3-1 record. Ghitis has made 21 saves and has a .700 save percentage. He has allowed nine goals and has a 1.21 goals against average. Christiansen has three shut-outs, while Ghitis has two shut-outs.
The Mavericks boast seven individual players who have earned all-league awards this season. Mark Moulton has been named the Summit League Offensive Player-of-the-Week twice this season. Josh Christensen, Felipe da Silva, and Joseph Ghitis each have been named conference Defensive-Players-of-the-Week once, while Nick Miller has won the award twice.
As a team, Omaha has outscored their opponents by a 16-12 margin. The Mavs have five shut-outs this season.
Scouting the Bulldogs
Drake University is 3-9-3 overall and 1-3 in the Missouri Valley. The Bulldogs are 0-2-1 in their last three games. They are 2-4-2 at home and 1-5-1 on the road.
James Wypych leads the team with three goals and three assists for nine points. Ben LeMay is second on the team with two goals and two assists for six points. Steven Enna and Eric Williamds each have two goals on the year.
Darrin MacLeod has started every game in goal this season for Drake and owns a 3-9-3 record. He has allowed 28 goals and made 73 saves.
Drake has scored 13 goals on the season and have conceded 28. Two of the Bulldogs' three wins this season have come via shut-out.
Series History
This is the third all-time meeting between the two programs. Drake has won both meetings in the series. Last season, Drake came from behind twice for a 4-3 win in regulation. Craig Buettner, Vance Rookwood, and Chava Garcia each scored for Omaha.
