Mavericks Add Marin Dregelid for 2014

OMAHA, Neb. - The Omaha women's soccer program has added Marin Dregelid to its 2014 signing class. The Santa Cruz, Calif., product will join five other newcomers as freshmen on the squad this fall.
Dregelid, originally from Palmer, Alaska, was a four-year letterwinner and senior captain at Santa Cruz High School, which finished 11-8-1 last season. Dregelid, a 5-6 midfielder, was a first-team Central Coast Section honoree all four years and led the Cardinals to the Santa Cruz Coast Athletic League title as a junior in 2013 with a 13-3-5 overall record and 8-2-2 league record. She was an all-county selection as well.
Dregelid played club soccer for De Anza Force in the Elite Clubs National League. De Anza Force recently ranked as high as 13th in the nation. Dregelid was a Cal-North District II ODP team member and a Region IV ODP participant. Before moving to California, Dregelid won two club state championships with Cook Inlet Soccer Club in Anchorage, Alaska in 2008 and 2009.
