Shelton Selected League Defensive Player of the Week

ELMHURST, Ill. – Goalkeeper Haley Shelton was named Summit League Defensive Player of the Week for her performances Oct. 3-9. The weekly award was her second of the season.
Shelton made 11 saves and picked up a pair of Summit League victories last weekend. The Kansas City, Mo., native made eight saves in Friday night's 2-0 shutout against Oral Roberts. She made three saves in a 4-1 win against Fort Wayne on Sunday. For the week, Shelton yielded a .917 save percentage and had a 0.50 goals-against average.
Omaha is 4-8-2 (2-1 Summit League) on the season and plays at IUPUI on Friday, Oct. 14 at 6:00 p.m. CT.
