Shelton Selected League Defensive Player of the Week

ELMHURST, Ill. – Goalkeeper Haley Shelton was named Summit League Defensive Player of the Week for her performances Oct. 17-23, the conference office announced Monday. The award is Shelton's third of the season and the third weekly league honor of her career.
Shelton stopped a penalty kick in the 81st minute to secure the 1-0 shutout over league leader South Dakota State. She is in the conference's top five in saves (81), save percentage (.844), shutouts (4), goals against (15), goals-against average (1.12) and wins (4).
Omaha is 5-9-3 (3-2-1 Summit League) on the season and plays at South Dakota on Friday, Oct. 28 at 3:00 p.m.
