Anderson Named Summit League Player of the Week

ELMHURST, Ill. – Omaha's Erik Anderson was named Summit League Men's Tennis Player of the Week for his performance April 19-25.
Anderson keyed Omaha's 4-3 victory over South Dakota State that clinched Omaha's first tournament berth. He teamed with freshman Alex Woodward at No. 2 doubles for a 6-3 win that earned the doubles point for Omaha. In singles action, Anderson won a split set match, 7-6 (5), 6-7 (3), 6-1, against Lucas Pereira at No. 5 to even the score at three.
The senior finished the regular season with a 6-13 record in singles play. Anderson put together an 8-13 mark in doubles this season teaming with Woodward, John Ellis, and Marko Minic. The tandem of Anderson and Woodward finished the regular season with a 7-10 record.
Currently, Anderson is third all-time in career singles wins with 16 and tied for third all-time with 16 doubles wins.
