Seven Mavericks Named ITA Scholar-Athletes

OMAHA, Neb. – Seven Omaha men's tennis players were named Scholar-Athletes, the Intercollegiate Tennis Association announced. The seven players to make the team are the most in one season for the Mavericks.
ITA award winners included Erik Anderson, John Ellis, Marko Minic, Biraj Parajuli, Lukas Vanzura, Ignace Warson and Alex Woodward.
"It's great to see our guys succeeding in the classroom," head coach Tyson Thomas said. "Our guys have put a priority in being good both on and off the court."
To be eligible to be named an ITA Scholar-Athlete, a player must: 1) be a varsity letter winner, 2) have a grade point average of at least 3.50 for the current academic year, and 3) have been enrolled at their current school for at least two semesters.
