Omaha Releases 2017 Men's Tennis Schedule

OMAHA, Neb. – Omaha men's tennis program head coach Tyson Thomas announced Thursday the release of its 2017 schedule. The Mavericks' regular season includes 22 matches, featuring eight home contests at the Miracle Hill Tennis Center.
The Mavericks open the season on the road as they travel to three-time national runner-up Oklahoma (Jan. 15) in the first weekend of play. The next weekend UNO visits in-state foe Nebraska (Jan. 21).
Omaha welcomes Northern Illinois (Jan. 28) and North Dakota (Jan. 29) for its home two non-conference home matches.
The Mavericks depart on a tough four-match road trip in early February as UNO visits Iowa (Feb. 3) and Creighton (Feb. 10) before playing two contests in Des Moines, Iowa on Feb. 12 against Middle Tennessee State and Drake.
UNO returns for a quick homestand on Feb. 17 against Midland and Doane. They hit the road to play at UMKC (Feb. 24) before returning home for matches on March 3 against Central (IA) and Hastings.
Omaha battles Arkansas in Fayetteville on March 18, then takes on St. Thomas (March 21) and Florida Atlantic (March 22) in road matches.
The Mavericks start Summit League play at home against Oral Roberts (April 1) and South Dakota State (April 2).
Omaha wraps up its season with a demanding four-match road swing, starting with conference foe IUPUI (April 8). They wrap up non-conference action at Illinois State (April 9) and Air Force (April 21). The Mavericks end the regular season visiting league champions Denver on April 22.
The Summit League Tournament, hosted by IUPUI, is set for April 28-29 in Indianapolis, Ind.
