The Omaha men's tennis team announced the addition of players to the 2017-18 roster.

OMAHA, Neb. - Omaha men's tennis head coach Tyson Thomas announced the addition of Abdoul Ouattara and Marko Minic Tuesday afternoon.
Ouattara, a native of Bouake, Ivory Coast, comes to the Mavericks after beginning his career at Seminole State College, where he played one season. In 2017, he lost in the semifinals at the Junior College National Championships in No. 2 singles.
Ouattara won the 2014 ITF Tour in Zimbabwe by collecting two golds and one silver over the three-tournament span. He achieved a career high junior ITF ranking of 168 and has received two ATP points early in his career.
"I'm excited to welcome Abdoul to the Omaha tennis family," said Thomas. "He was able to spend a semester playing high-level junior college tennis, so I am confident that he will hit the ground running."
Minic, a native of Belgrade, Serbia, was a two-year letter winner for the Mavericks. He compiled a 15-35 singles mark playing between No. 2 and No. 5 between 2014-2016.
"Marko understands our culture and what we are trying to accomplish here," said Thomas. "He is a strong student-athlete who is going to be a solid addition to our program this fall."
"The experience that Abdoul and Marko bring to the program should have an immediate impact on the team," said Thomas.
