Men's Tennis Announces 2019 Spring Slate

OMAHA, Neb. – Head coach Tyson Thomas announced the 2019 spring men's tennis schedule Wednesday, Oct. 31, which features 18 non-conference matches and eight home matches.
The Mavericks play opponents from across 13 different state for the 2019 schedule.
Omaha opens play with four-straight road matches starting with 2018 NCAA National Tournament qualifiers Oklahoma State (Jan. 19) and Oklahoma (Jan. 20). The Mavericks return to Oklahoma the following week for a doubleheader against Tulsa and Abilene Christian on Jan. 27.
Omaha hosts Northern Illinois and Saint Louis to open the home portion of its schedule on Feb. 1.
The Mavericks return to the road for five-straight matches, starting with Arkansas (Feb. 3), Iowa (Feb. 10) and Nebraska (Feb. 15). Omaha begins Summit League play against the defending champions Drake (Feb. 22), before visiting crosstown foe Creighton on March 1.
Following the road contests, the Mavericks host Chicago State on March 2 before heading to Kansas City, Mo., on March 8 to play UMKC. Omaha then returns home for a March 10 match with Air Force.
The Mavericks play a pair of matches in California during their Spring Break Trip. Omaha opens with Azusa Pacific on March 19, before visiting Pepperdine on March 20.
Four straight at home follow, starting with a league match against Oral Roberts on March 29 and a non-conference duel with Marquette on March 30. The Mavericks open April with back-to-back Summit League matches with Illinois State (April 6) and North Dakota (April 7).
The final four matches are on the road. The Mavericks visit league opponent Valparaiso (April 13) and NCAA Tournament qualifier Notre Dame (April 14). Omaha wraps up non-conference action against Northern Colorado on April 18, before concluding the regular season against Denver on April 19.
The Summit League Championships take place April 26-27 in Tulsa, Okla.
