Men's Tennis Unveils Spring Slate

OMAHA, Neb. – Director of Tennis Adam Summitt announced the 2020 spring men's tennis schedule on Wednesday morning, which features 15 non-conference matches and nine home matches.
"We are very much looking forward to the spring season," said Summitt. "We have a challenging schedule ahead of us to prepare us for a run at the Summit League Championship. We are going to get a crack at some power five opponents and quite possibly the No. 1 team at Baylor. This year we have the deepest, strongest team since I have been at Omaha. The guys know this and are fired up to get back on the courts in January."
The Mavericks open the season with a trio of matches on the road beginning at Wichita State on Jan. 19 before venturing to Iowa on Jan. 24 and Arkansas on Feb. 2.
Omaha kicks off its home slate with back-to-back matches vs. Creighton and Saint Louis on Feb. 7 and 8.
Following the home weekend, the Mavericks head north to Grand Forks, N.D. to take on Green Bay and North Dakota on Feb. 15 and 16.
Omaha travels south to Waco, Texas to battle Baylor and Grand Canyon on Feb. 22 and 23 before challenging Oral Roberts and Tulsa on Feb. 29 and March 1 in Tulsa, Okla.
The Mavericks return home for a match against Kansas City on March 13 before a doubleheader against Gustavus Adolphus and Midland on March 14.
Omaha hits the road for a trio of matches on the road as the Mavericks trek west to face Saint Mary's and Cal on March 22 and 24 before traveling to Illinois State on April 4.
Omaha wraps up the regular season portion of its schedule with four home matches against Drake and Northwest Missouri State on April 10 and 11 and Valparaiso and Denver on April 17 and 19.
The Summit League Championship takes place in Denver, Colo., and is scheduled for Friday and Saturday, April 24-25.
