Farrell Promoted to Associate Head Coach

OMAHA, Neb. – Omaha women's soccer announced the promotion of Kelly Farrell to associate head coach on Thursday.
"We are very lucky to have Kelly here in Omaha," head coach Tim Walters said. "She has had a tremendous impact on our program over the last two years. She is a tireless worker who continues to push us forward on the field and in recruiting.
"Kelly loves being a Maverick, and I'm happy to see her role continue to expand as she leaves her mark on Omaha Soccer."
Farrell is in her second season with the program after arriving at Omaha in the summer of 2017. In her time with the Mavericks, she helped the team reach made The Summit League championship for the first time in program history.
"I am grateful to Coach Walters for this opportunity," said Farrell. "The staff and players I have worked with during my time here have helped me grow and develop as a coach. I look forward to continuing our journey together as we build Omaha into a Summit League power."
Farrell has helped develop three All-Summit League performers and an Academic All-League selection.
The New York native joined Omaha after serving one season as the associate head coach at UAB. She also served as an assistant at Georgia Southern and Monmouth.
