Men's Tennis Unveils 2021 Schedule

OMAHA, Neb. – Head coach Matthew Barlow announced the 2021 men's tennis schedule on Wednesday afternoon, which features 21 non-conference matches and nine home matches.
"What a year this has been so far," said Barlow. "We are grateful to have a full schedule planned for the spring and looking forward to a competitive non-conference and Summit League slate. We have nine home matches against high-quality opponents, so there is a great opportunity for fans to watch some high-level tennis in a socially-distanced and safe setting."
The Mavericks open the season with five matches on the road beginning at Arkansas and Wichita State on Jan. 15-16, respectively. Omaha takes on Marquette on Jan. 22 and UIC on Jan. 23 before wrapping up the five-match stretch on the road at Tulsa on Jan. 31.
Omaha kicks off its home slate with back-to-back home matches vs. Air Force and Northern Illinois on Feb. 5-6, followed by a home doubleheader against Washburn and Bethel on Feb. 13.
Following the home matches, the Mavericks play at Creighton on Feb. 19 and William Woods and Saint Louis on Feb. 26-27. Omaha travels to Wichita State on March 3 before heading west for matches at Eastern Washington on March 18 and Gonzaga on March 20.
The Mavericks challenge Drake on March 26 in Des Moines, Iowa, before returning home to face Illinois State on April 3 and Northwest Missouri State and Midland in a doubleheader on April 4.
Omaha hits the road for matches at Air Force and Denver on April 8-9 while playing Northern Arizona on April 10 in Colorado Springs, Colo.
The Mavericks battle DePaul and Western Michigan on the road on April 16-17 before wrapping up the regular season at home against Oral Roberts and North Dakota on April 23-24.
The Summit League Championship takes place in Denver, Colo., and is scheduled for Friday and Saturday, April 30 – May 1.
