Men's Tennis Earns Academic Recognition from ITA

OMAHA, Neb. – The Omaha men's tennis team has been designated an ITA All-Academic Team and seven Mavericks have been recognized as ITA Scholar-Athletes for 2020-21, the Intercollegiate Tennis Association announced this week.
The Mavericks compiled a 3.41 cumulative grade-point average in the 2020-21 academic year for ITA All-Academic Team recognition. ITA Scholar-Athlete award winners included Davis Lawley, Ethan Henry, Jacob Weber, Alvaro Quintana, Hugo Piles Ballester, Abdoul Ouattara and Mason Sniatynski.
The ITA All-Academic Team is open to any ITA program that has a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or above on a 4.0 scale. All varsity letterwinners are factored into the cumulative team GPA for the current academic year.
In order to earn the ITA Scholar-Athlete honor, a student-athlete must have a GPA of at least a 3.5 on a 4.0 scale for the current academic year and be listed on the institutional eligibility form.
