Mavericks Finish First Two Rounds At Arkansas State

Jonesboro, Ark.- The Omaha women's golf team completed rounds one and two at the Lady Red Wolves Classic hosted by Arkansas State on Monday.

The Mavericks totaled 303 as a team in the first round, and 297 in the second to end the day in 14th place with a team score of 600. Omaha sits eight strokes behind North Alabama, who holds 13th place with a score of 592.

Sydney Taake leads the Mavericks with a two-round total of 148. The sophomore shares 40th place overall after a 75 (+3) in round one and a 73 (+1) in round two. Macarena Garcia is four strokes behind Taake with a two-round total of 152. The freshman is in 61st place with a 78 (+6) in the first round and a 74 (+2) in the second.

Nicole Hansen and Mika Miyata share 52nd place after the first two rounds. Hansen and Miyata both recorded day-one scores of 150. Hansen notched a 74 (+2) then a 76 (+4), and Miyata did the opposite. A 76 (+4) in round one, and a 74 (+2) in round two.

Emily Karmazin and Emma Kirvan matched scores as well. Karmazin shot an 80 and an 81 to reach 161 after the first two rounds, and Kirvan scored an 81 before an 80 to end with 161 as well.
