Mavericks Finish First Two Rounds In Texas

McAllen, Texas- The Omaha women's golf team is in 9th place after day one at the South Texas Showdown, hosted by Texas-Rio Grande Valley.Â
The Mavericks scored 317 in the first round and 313 in the second for a total team score of 630. Â
Mandi Granato shares second place on the leaderboard after scoring 150(+8) the first two rounds. The junior eagled the sixth hole on her way to scoring 74(+2) in round one. Granato shot 76(+4) in round two, and currently sits one stroke behind the leader with one round to play.Â
Sydney Taake is tied for 21st place after scoring 157(+15) on day one. The freshman scored 77(+5) and 80(+8) in rounds one and two, respectively.Â
Emma Kirvan scored 83 in the first round on Monday. The freshman followed that with an eagle on hole 12 in round two for a 77(+5) in the second. Kirvan holds a share of 29th place on the leaderboard with a two-round total of 160.Â
Mika Miyata scored 164, and Jinna Boonbumroongsuk shot 167 on day one. Miyata scored 83 and 81 in the first and second rounds, while Jinna B. scored 87 and 80. Miyata is tied for 49th and Boonbumroongsuk is tied for 59th heading into round three tomorrow.Â
