After playing their last four games at home, the Mavericks hit the road for their first pair of league games away from Baxter Arena. Omaha and Western Illinois meet in Macomb Thursday night. Tipoff is set for 6 p.m. Both teams are sitting at 1-2 in the league and look to pick up their second win and improve to .500 in the standings.

Scouting the Western Illinois Leathernecks
The Leathernecks sit at 8-6 overall and 1-2 in league play heading into the week's action. Their lone conference win came against North Dakota State. Western Illinois had a six-game win streak following its league opener before the squad fell to South Dakota State and South Dakota last week. The Leathernecks are third in scoring so far this season. They average 75.7 ppg, while holding their opponents to 71.8 ppg, which is the fourth best defense in the Summit.
Alec Rosner leads Western Illinois in scoring averaging 15.2 ppg. He's shooting 48 percent from the field and 41.9 percent from three-point range with over 35 makes so far this season. Rosner has 12 games in double-figures this season, including four games with at least 20 points scored. He came out and dropped a season-high 25 points in the season opener vs. Illinois state. He made a season-best six threes vs. UTRGV and has five makes in two other games this year.
Rob Jeter is in his third season with the Leathernecks. Under his direction, they have a 31-37 overall record. This marks his 14th year as a head coach. He's compiled a career record of 215-207.
