Mishiro Earns Summit League Performer of the Week

Omaha Mavericks sophomore Ryoma Mishiro has been named the TicketSmarter Summit League Men's Tennis Peak Performer of the Week.
This is the first weekly award of his career and the second of the season for Omaha (Ethan Gaubert, Week 1).
Mishiro went a perfect 4-0 (2-0 in singles and 2-0 in doubles) on the weekend helping the Mavericks to a 2-0 weekend against Marquette and Eastern Illinois.
Against Marquette, Mishiro and his doubles partner Quintan Van Wijk won 6-4 in the doubles #2 spot. In singles, Mishiro won in straight sets 6-4, 6-3 in the Mavericks #1 spot. The Fujisawa, Japan native followed that up the next day by winning a tight doubles battle 7-6 against his EIU opponents. Back to singles, Mishiro won in straight sets again in the #1 spot 6-3, 6-2 helping Omaha to their seventh consecutive victory.
On the campaign, Mishiro has four singles victories and four doubles clinches. He is currently riding a three match winning streak in singles.
Mishiro and the Mavericks look to extend their seven match winning streak this Saturday night when they host the Creighton Bluejays at Miracle Hill Tennis Center.
