Three men's tennis players earn Summit League Honors

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - Three members of the Omaha men's tennis team earned Summit League honors, it was announced Wednesday.
Senior Mikhail Korkunov earned a spot on the All-League team and was joined by teammates Ethan Gaubert and Bryan Kuntz who were named Honorable Mention All-Summit League.
Korkunov, from Gelendzhik, Russia owns a 14-7 (.667) record in dual action at singles this season, with all 14 victories coming at the No. 1 position. Korkunov has emerged victorious in six of his last ten matches in singles play. In doubles action, Korkunov has won 17-consecutive matches, including 13-straight with partner Kuntz. 16 of his 17 doubles wins have come at No. 1.
Gaubert is 10-9 this spring as the junior from Melbourne, Australia has gotten hot as of late, posting a 7-3 mark in his last 10 singles outings. Gaubert posted a streak of six-straight victories at No. 3 and No. 2 singles from March 2-23, 2025. Gaubert has posted five doubles wins in his last eight appearances, including against BIG EAST member Marquette.
Rounding out the Mavericks' honorees is Kuntz, hailing from Cuiaba, Brazil. The senior owns nine singles wins in 2025 with 12 of his matches this semester coming at No. 2. In doubles action, Kuntz and Korkunov have dominated, moving a perfect 3-0 against Summit League foes. The dynamic pair have no suffered a setback since Feb. 15, 2025 at BIG EAST opponent Butler.
