Oct 14, 2026 | Women's Soccer
OMAHA - The Omaha women's soccer team (3-5-5, 2-1-2 Summit) returns to Caniglia Field for a pair of Summit League matchups this week. The Mavericks will host South Dakota on Thursday, Oct. 15, at 7 p.m. CT before facing South Dakota State on Sunday, Oct. 18, at 1 p.m. CT. Both matches will stream on MidcoSportsPlus.
Omaha enters the week following back-to-back scoreless draws against North Dakota and North Dakota State, extending its unbeaten streak to three matches. The Mavericks have recorded three consecutive shutouts, beginning with a 1-0 victory over Kansas City on Oct. 3.
The Mavericks opened their two-match road trip Thursday, Oct. 8, with a 0-0 draw against North Dakota in Grand Forks, N.D., before closing the trip with another scoreless draw against North Dakota State on Sunday, Oct. 11, in Fargo, N.D.
Against North Dakota State, goalkeeper Cadence Fagan (Aubrey, Texas) recorded seven saves to preserve the shutout. Omaha outshot the Bison 7-3 in the first half and held a 5-0 advantage in corner kicks throughout the match.
Charley Kort (Lincoln, Neb.) led the Mavericks with two shots, including one on goal, while Grace Bartlam (Rosemountm Minn.) and Haylee Braun (St. Louis, Mo.) each added a shot on target. Fagan made four saves in the second half, including three consecutive stops in the 67th and 68th minutes to keep the match scoreless.
Following a dominant weekend performance, Fagan earned Summit League Defensive Peak Performer of the Week honors and national recognition with a selection to TopDrawerSoccer's Women's Team of the Week, presented by Soccer Management Company.
Omaha will look to carry its defensive momentum into the two-match homestand as the Mavericks continue Summit League play.
