Marrs Named To AMN All-Rookie Team
Redshirt freshman Jacob Marrs has been named to the Amateur Wrestling News All-Rookie Team. The prestigious team recognizes the top first-year wrestlers in the nation, regardless of division.
Marrs, a 197-pounder from Oak Hill, Kan., was one of only two NCAA Division II wrestlers recognized on the team.
Marrs, who finished fifth in the voting for the 197-pound class, compiled a 35-9 overall record and a 10-1 mark in duals. Ranked as high as No. 2 in the nation, Marrs qualified for the 2007 NCAA Division II National Championships and finished third at the NCAA II North Region Tournament.
