Fox Named Academic All-District

OMAHA, Neb. - UNO senior goalkeeper #Lauren Fox# was named to the 2010 ESPN Academic All-District Seven third team today. The announcement came from the College Sports Information Directors' Association which conducts the nationwide voting.
Fox has started all 17 games for the Mavericks this season, posting a record of 9-7-1 with a 1.20 goals-against average and a .796 save percentage. She has recorded four shutouts this season in nearly 1,420 minutes of work.
The native of Beatrice, Neb. ranks second all-time in UNO history with 32 wins, having passed Ellen Petersen with her most recent victory, a 3-1 win at Northwest Missouri State last Saturday. Fox is also second with 189 career saves, third all-time in career shutouts with 18 and ranks fourth with a career goals-against average of 1.09.
Fox and the Mavericks finish the regular season on Saturday, Nov. 6 when they visit Emporia State for a 1 p.m. game.
