OMAHA, Neb. – The Mavericks volleyball program fell in four tough sets to the visiting South Dakota Coyotes Friday evening inside Baxter Arena.

Omaha (14-12, 7-5) fell to the Coyotes (22-1, 11-0) by a score of 3-1.

NOTES
•   Omaha was held to a .160 attacking percentage compared to the Coyotes .255.
•   Isabella Sade recorded 16 kills and two blocks, while Sadie Limback notched 15 and five blocks.
•   Limback extends her double-digit kill streak to 11 games.
•   Sami Clarkson finished with 46 assists and seven digs.
•   As the lone senior honored after the match, Courtney Morehead finished with nine digs and a service ace.

INSIDE SET ONE
A back-and-forth opening set featured 12 ties and eight lead changes. South Dakota went up 10-6 early on, but the Mavericks fought back and evened the score up at 16-16 on a USD attack error. An Anna Blaschko Kill and another USD attack error gave Omaha a one-point lead (18-17). Up 24-22 with set point in hand, South Dakota responded with two-straight Elizabeth Juhnke kills and an ace to go up 25-24. Omaha, however, refused to wavier and scored three-straight on a Blaschko kill, a Limback ace and an Alexa Blase kill.

INSIDE SET TWO
Another intense set that saw five lead changes and 14 ties fell in favor of the Coyotes. Omaha held on to a 22-21 lead late in the frame after a Claire Leonard kill, but the Coyotes retook a 23-22 lead on two-straight points. Omaha was able to even it up at 24-all late in the set, but South Dakota planted two kills to take the set 26-24 and even it up at 1-1.

INSIDE SET THREE
Fourteen ties and six lead changes happened in the third set. Omaha was able to get a small lead after a kill from Sade (17-16), but South Dakota responded. Down 20-18, Omaha called timeout and immediately evened it up out of the break and forced South Dakota to burn a timeout of their own. The Coyotes, however, were able to extend their lead to 23-20. Despite a late kill by Limback, Omaha could not close the gap as the Coyotes won 25-21 for the set point.

INSIDE SET FOUR
South Dakota gathered its momentum and led 11-8 in the fourth set. Omaha was forced to call a timeout after it trailed 16-12 on three-straight South Dakota kills. The Mavericks were unable to get things going their way as the Coyotes finished the match on a 7-0 run and took the fourth set, 25-14.
