OMAHA, Neb. – The Omaha men's soccer team hosts UCLA in an exhibition match on Saturday, Aug. 24 at 7:30 p.m. at Caniglia Field.

Scouting the UCLA Bruins
The UCLA Bruins are coming off a 10-9 season and fourth-place finish in the Pac-12 with a 5-5 conference mark. The Bruins return 15 players and five starters from last year's team that qualified for the NCAA Tournament.
Last season, the Bruins scored 25 goals and were shut out in six of their 19 matches. UCLA took 13.6 shots per game and put over 43 percent of those on target.
The Bruin defense allowed 22 opponent goals in 2018, which included 13 against Pac-12 foes. The UCLA defense had six shutouts and held opponents to one goal in eight additional matches. Bruin opponents tallied 9.2 shots per game, including 40.8 percent of those on goal. Justin Garces is the top returning goalkeeper after posting a 7-7-0 record in 2018 with four shutouts, 34 saves and 1.24 goals-against average.
Omaha vs. UCLA
UCLA leads the all-time series, 1-0. The Bruins won 2-1 on Sept. 12, 2018 in Los Angeles, Calif. UCLA, then ranked No. 4 nationally, defeated the Mavericks 5-2 in an exhibition match on Aug. 19, 2014.

- UNO placed second in the Summit League last season, earning the program's fourth consecutive berth in the Summit League Tournament and third straight trip to the Summit League Final.
