The Mavericks added transfer Kenedy Schaecher to the volleyball program on Thursday.

OMAHA, Neb. – Head coach Matt Buttermore announced Thursday the addition of Northern Colorado transfer Kenedy Schaecher to the Omaha volleyball program.
The Omaha native returns home to join the Mavericks are spending one semester at Northern Colorado.
"We're excited to have Kenedy come back to Omaha and join the program," said Buttermore. "She's a great athlete who competed at a high level in both high school and club. We look forward to seeing the impact she makes in our gym."
Prior to Northern Colorado, Schaecher was a two-sport letterwinner in volleyball and track & field at Gretna High School. She helped the Dragons reach the state championship as senior and two straight state semifinal appearances as a sophomore and junior.
At Gretna, Schaecher garnered first-team all-conference, first-team all-state, second-team All-Nebraska and second-team Super State honors. She played at the club level with Premier Volleyball Club, helping her squad reach nationals in every season.
