Mavericks Return to Missouri for Johnie Imes Invitational

Columbia, Mo.-- The Omaha women's golf team returns to the show-me state for the Johnie Imes Invitational hosted by Missouri on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, Sept. 25-27.Â
The Tigers welcome Creighton, Drake, Eastern Kentucky, Florida International, Howard, Illinois State, Lipscomb, Missouri State, Morehead State, Northern Illinois, Omaha and Oral Roberts to the 13-team tournament at The Club at Old Hawthorne in Columbia, Mo.Â
The lineup set by head coach Victoria Grasso:Â
Garcia led Omaha throughout its first event at the Payne Stewart Memorial. Macarena scored 70 (-2) in the second round for a total score of 223 and a share of 23rd place. The sophomore will be the last Maverick to begin the first round of this week's Johnie Imes Invitational as she is scheduled to tee off at 8:54 a.m.Â
Hansen fills the No. 2 spot in the lineup after a total score of 228 at the Mavericks' first event of the year in Springfield, Mo. Nicole will tee up fourth for the Mavericks on Monday, as the graduate student is scheduled to begin the first round at 8:45 a.m.Â
Taake had the second-best score among the Mavericks at Missouri State two weeks ago. Taake tied for 32nd with a 54-hole total of 226. Sydney will begin the first round of The Johnie at 8:36 a.m.Â
Karmazin tied for 34th place two weeks ago at the Payne Stewart Memorial, finishing with a 73 (+1) in the final round. The sophomore is set to begin this week's event at 8:27 a.m. on Monday.Â
Romito enters the lineup for the first time for Omaha after transferring from Holy Name last season and playing as an individual in the Mavericks' first event. Lavinia tied for 42nd place with a total score of 229 at the Payne Stewart Memorial. Romito will tee up first for Omaha at 8:18 a.m.Â
