OMAHA - The Omaha men's soccer team (4-3-3) is set to welcome Nebraska Wesleyan (3-4-1) on Saturday night at Caniglia Field. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. on the Summit League Network.Â
THE PRIMER - Omaha returns to action on Saturday night as it hosts NCAA Division II Nebraska Wesleyan. The Prairie Wolves enter the match with a 3-4-1 record. Saturday's match will count for the Mavericks but will serve as an exhibition for Nebraska Wesleyan.

IN THE REARVIEW - Omaha gave No. 4 Creighton all it could handle on Tuesday night but eventually fell 4-2 to the Bluejays. After falling behind 2-0, Omaha got two quick goals from Maguire Perkins and Brett Perkins to tie the match before halftime. Omaha controlled most of the second half, but the Bluejays scored two goals in the final 10 minutes to prevail.
CHECK THE RANKS - Omaha checked in fourth in the West Region in the United Soccer Coaches poll, its highest ranking of the season.
OFFENSIVE FIREPOWER - Expect plenty of offense on Saturday night at Caniglia as the Mavs have been rolling offensively this season. Omaha's offensive turnaround has been stellar this season, as the Mavs have already scored more goals than they did in all of 2025. Omaha has scored 23 goals this season after scoring just 17 last season. Coach Dowling has the Mavs ranked first in the Summit League and 16th in the country with 2.30 goals per game.
MEET THE MAVS - Omaha welcomes 16 new Mavericks to the roster. The team has six freshmen, seven sophomores, seven juniors, six seniors and one graduate student. Positionally, the team has seven defenders, eight forwards, four goalkeepers and eight midfielders. The Mavericks have 10 Nebraska natives on the team this year, including one from Lincoln, three from Gretna, three from Omaha, one from Fremont, one from Bennington and one from Elkhorn.
KEEP YOUR EYES OUT FOR - Senior forward Italo Jenkins (Atlanta, Ga.) is back for a third season with the Mavericks. Last year, he tallied five goals in 841 minutes to earn a spot as the second-highest goal scorer on the team. Jenkins recorded his 10th career goal against Yale and scored against Delaware on Sunday. Senior midfielder Brett Perkins (Gretna, Neb.) is in his fourth year with the Mavericks and serves as team captain. Last year, he recorded a pair of assists and played 930 minutes for the Mavs. Perkins has recorded five goals and two assists to lead the Mavs this season. He is the only remaining member of the 2023 Omaha squad that won the Summit League Tournament. Senior goalkeeper Kamy Ndione (Osaka, Japan) is back between the posts for Omaha. Last season, he played 900 minutes, recording 33 saves and a pair of shutouts. Ndione has posted four clean sheets this season and had a career-high nine saves against Western Illinois.
