The University of Nebraska at Omaha (9-11/0-4) will be looking for its first North Central Conference volleyball victories this weekend when it hosts 15th-ranked Augustana (11-5/3-1) on Friday, Oct. 10, at 7 p.m., and South Dakota State (10-8/0-4) at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 11. Both matches will be held at UNO's Sapp Fieldhouse.

Scouting UNO:
UNO is 9-11 overall on the season and 0-4 in the NCC after dropping a pair of North Central Conference road matches last weekend, falling to ninth-ranked North Dakota State, 3-0, and to North Dakota, 3-1. UNO has dropped five straight matches.
Junior Amy (Sibbernsen) McLeay (4.30 kpg, .236 hit %) has been the Mavericks' top offensive threat. McLeay, who was married on Sep. 26, has been named to the all-tournament teams at both the Lynn Labor Day Classic and the UNO Tournament. Sophomore outside hitter Chelsea Miller (2.84 dpg) and McLeay (2.82 dpg) lead the UNO defense.
Scouting Augustana
Augustana is ranked No. 15 in the latest AVCA top 25 poll. The Vikings are 11-5 overall and 3-1 in the NCC after sweeping a pair of league matches last week, including a four-game win over pre-season NCC favorite and 17th-ranked Minnesota State. Senior outside hitters Sara Larson (3.58 kpg, 4.10 dpg) and Jackie Hingst (3.15 kpg, 3.82 dpg, 36 service aces) have been the Vikings' top performers in 2003.
Scouting South Dakota State
The Jackrabbits are currently 10-8 on the season and like the Mavericks are winless in the NCC at 0-4. South Dakota State, which has been ranked as high as No. 15 in the AVCA top 25 this season, is led by junior middle blocker Kim Bostrom, who is averaging 3.76 kills per game, with a .363 hitting percentage. Junior middle blocker Sarah Biggerstaff is averaging 2.23 kills and a team-leading 1.03 blocks per game. Freshman outside hitter Laura Hegerle is second on the team with 3.50 kills and 2.65 digs per game.
