
UNO Opens NCC Action at UND, SCSU

After being idle last week, the University of Nebraska at Omaha (7-4, 0-0 NCC) volleyball team will open North Central Conference action this weekend on the road when they travel to Grand Forks, N.D. on Friday, Sept. 23 for a 7 p.m. match with North Dakota (7-6,1-0 NCC). The Mavericks will then head to St. Cloud, Minn. on Saturday, Sept. 24 for a 4 p.m. showdown with St. Cloud State (4-7, 0-1 NCC).
The Record
The Mavericks are currently 7-4 on the season after going 3-0 at the North Central Region Crossover, including a four-game victory over fourth-ranked Concordia-St. Paul., and three-game sweeps over Bemidji State and Minnesota-Crookston. UNO received 19 votes in the latest AVCA Division II top 25 poll released on Sept. 12.
Miller Records 1,000th Career Dig
With her 30th dig against Southern Illinois-Edwardsville on Aug. 27, senior libero Chelsea Miller became the 19th player in school history to record 1,000 career digs. Miller has now recorded 1,106 digs in her UNO career which ranks 13th on the Maverick all-time career records' chart.
