No. 5 Minnesota Duluth Sweeps UNO

OMAHA, Neb. -- Two-time All-American and 2005 NCC Player of the Year Vicky Braegelmann pounded a match-high 17 kills on .405 hitting as fifth-ranked Minnesota Duluth swept the 20th-ranked Mavericks 3-0 (30-23, 31-29, 30-28) Friday night in North Central Conference volleyball action at the Sapp Fieldhouse.
With the loss, Nebraska-Omaha fell to 15-6 overall and 3-4 in the NCC. the Bulldogs improved to 21-2 and 7-0.
Senior outside hitter Christina Reicks led the Mavericks with 11 kills and 10 digs, recording her eighth-straight double-double and her 15th overall on the year. Junior middle blocker Carlie Christensen added nine kills and a match-high six blocks as UNO held a commanding 9.5 to 1 advantage in team blocks.
Defensively, the Mavericks were led by senior Stacie Wemhoff's 15 digs. Freshman Kayla Jansen was also in double figures with 10 digs.
UNO will continue NCC action Saturday night when they head to Sioux Falls, S.D. to battle Augustana in a 7 p.m. match at the Elmen Center.
