Mavs Hold Media Day on Wednesday

The 2008 University of Nebraska at Omaha volleyball team will hold its annual media day on Wednesday, August 6 at 3 p.m. in the Sapp Fieldhouse. The event will take place following the Maverick football media day which begins at 2 p.m. at Al F. Caniglia Field.
Coach Rose Shires, who is entering her 19th Maverick season, will guide a squad that returns three starters and eight letterwinners from last season's 17-9 team that advanced to the NCAA Division II Tournament for a fourth-straight season.
The Mavericks' 16-player squad will open the regular season on Friday-Saturday, Aug. 29-30 when they host the 10-team Comfort Inn & Suites/Firewater Grille Tournament.
