Thommes Earns Two Regional Honors

Senior middle hitter Ellen Thommes was named to two different all-South Central Region teams this week. She earned a spot on the American Volleyball Coaches Association first team and the Daktronics second team.
Thommes led UNO with a .388 attack percentage, 3.16 kills per set, 1.02 blocks and 3.97 points. She was ranked second in the MIAA in attack percentage and blocks and fourth in points in the latest statistics report. Her attack percentage was the third best in school history.
Thommes earned honorable mention AVCA all-South Central Region last year.
The Mavericks finished the year 20-14 and sixth in the MIAA at 10-10. They advanced to the NCAA tournament for the sixth straight year.
