OMAHA, Neb. - The Mavericks started off their weekend in the UNO Volleyball Classic with a win against Southern Indiana Friday afternoon at Sapp Fieldhouse, 25-16, 25-16, 25-19. #Sara Kampschnieder led the team with 12 kills followed by Ellen Thommes# with 11 kills.
Setter Emily Myers led UNO with 36 assists in the match. Outsider hitter #Natalie Ebke led the Mavs with 14 digs and libero Angie Reicks# followed with nine digs for a total of 52 digs for the Mavs.
In the match the Mavericks had 10 blocks with #Lizzy Mach# leading with three block assists. Reicks also led the team with two service aces as the Mavs totaled five.
Ashley Henricks hit .647 with a team-high 11 kills to lead the Screaming Eagles.
The Mavericks will play tonight at 7 in Sapp Feildhouse against Drury University.
