Chelsea Snyder is a middle blocker from Omaha, Neb., and will be a senior in 2012. A graduate of Skutt Catholic, her junior season at UNO was highlighted by a career-high five blocks against UMKC. She averaged 0.85 blocks per set in 2011.
Do you have any nicknames? Chels.
What age did you age started playing volleyball? 14.
What was your first volleyball memory? Running sprints for losing my jersey. I haven't lost one since!
What is your best volleyball memory? Beating Pius in five sets when they were undefeated.
Who influenced your volleyball career the most and why? Karen Povondra -- her love for and dedication to the game inspire me to push myself to get better every day.
What is your favorite pro sports team? The Chicago Bulls.
Who is your favorite athlete? Derrick Rose.
What is the best team you have ever competed against? Wichita State.
Do you have any superstitions? I brush my teeth before every game, and I have a handshake with Sydney Fleege that we have to perform before every set.
Where are you most excited to travel next season? Annapolis.
